cornell transfer college confidential

i actually had a long discussion with my advisor today, and i feel much more confident in my decision to apply. Two years ago, Geneseo, the most selective liberal arts college in the state system, began offering students a guaranteed-transfer admission for the following fall. I have also handled a couple of posts of responsibilities and I have an Internship in a software company this summer.... How good are my chances?

Hey guys, I was just curious as to your personal experiences with the transfer process. The professor may submit this online via the application you applied with (Common Application or Universal College Application), or the recommender may email the letter to transfer@cornell.edu. Your academic preparation and coursework choices for a possible transfer to the College of Human Ecology at Cornell University are critical components of the admissions process. I had to stay home in Charlotte, NC for a couple of years due to my family's financial situation, but now that it has improved, i think i am absolutely ready to open my mind up once again and feel like a part of an intellectual community. IIT is a very well respected school and you mentioned some other impressive stuff like the olympiads. Whatever you do don't apply to the college of arts and sciences, at least I wouldn't as it is VERY competitive.

Please feel free to give opinion on this and I appreciate so much! I currently have a 3.7 GPA from NYU (engineering major and economics minor). I think its easier to get into a program at a top school by zeroing in on one thing you like and going for it. I'm from Cary. Jan 10, 2020 08:00 PM. AP'S I'm a college freshman with a less than stellar gpa of 2.8 due to a disastrous first semester, my SATs are Reading: 710, Writing:710, and Math: 620 >.< But honestly you obviously have a shot at a good American university for transfer so it seems silly to ask lol. My high school academics don't look amazing: try 490 verb, 610 math, and 470 writing & 2.8 gpa, but in college i'm doing decent: 3.69 gpa and very involved as far as extracurricular activities including starting research this semester. Also, I am active in several social justice clubs on campus but nothing spectacular.

I would like to transfer to Cornell in the fall '07. If this was published in a major journal this would pretty much put you into any school. I'm actually from Stony Brook myself, currently going to school out of state, but it's a phenomenal and underrated school. haha, thank you for your confidence in me. i've aced every class for my majors), and i'm definitely going to have a 4.0 this semester (i'm taking 20 credit hours and i work 2 jobs part time totaling 44 hours a week. I heard they are gonna resume taking in transfers again this year.

Yale has always been taking in transfers every year.

Princeton is the only HYP schools which does not take in any transfers.

Hi, I'm a freshman at McGill University in Canada. and no, i lived in california until my senior year of high school, so i actually attended LAUSD system for 11 years. By the way Georgia Tech does not even look at SAT when you are transfering and their engineering is better and they say that for international students when you have a 3.8 you are almost pretty much in as a transfer engineering student.

I'm currently a freshman at SUNY Stony Brook majoring in mech E and I'm interested in transferring to the college of engineering at cornell. i CANNOT choose between my three majors at all. we'll see what happens. I wouldn't be terribly surprised if you didn't get into MIT or Stanford just because they don't admit many students and keep in mind that the HYP schools do not even have a transfer admissions process. are you going to apply to ILR? I would not recommend applying to ilr or any other college within cornell either, since all of your courses are obviously not within the course range of business (ilr) or biology (human ecology) or even hotel administration, that would be an automatic rejection.

That requirement from Human Ecology and CALS are REDICULIOUS. Question: I am applying for a junior level transfer to Cornell University. On the other hand going for a school like Penn gives you good odds.

Now the questions: do i have a decent shot at getting into the college of engineering? ILR is collaborating with Cornell Cooperative Extension (CCE) and The Partnership for Public good (PPG) on this project. I currently have a 3.89 GPA with a 4.0 in both of my majors. If you don't get in as a transfer student, you will definitely have success at graduate level. My SAT was math: 560 verbal:460 Search Forum ; Advanced Search; Thread Cornell Transfer. Cornell guaranteed transfer admission has been around for years and it’s not likely to end soon (unless all of this bad press changes the university’s stance).

I never applied to cornell for regular admission due to the fact that i was fairly certain i had no chance in getting in and i just started to consider transferring after a friend convinced me to give it a shot. Ap Chemistry 5 My gpa freshman year was 3.8 (because of a stupid UNCC required earth science class.. has NOTHING to do with my majors. I'm doing karate and I'm on an engineering team, as my extracurriculars. I'm majoring in Finance, minoring math. I would consider myself to have had an atypical college application process. i also took classes at community college at night while i was in high school, which is why i'm so ahead in credits. Ap calculus 5 i've tried countless times to drop even one, and i just simply will not feel satisfied in school unless i am studying russian literature, english applied linguistics and literature, and international affairs. I think it is GPA. My SAT was fairly strong though, at around 1500. See if you can leave the SAT section blank as a transfer student.
